The Coffee Shop Initiative.

Brink is back! And we’ve got a plan.

We want the communities of the Bay Area to see its arts without having to go out of their way to do it. The arts don’t belong in museums, they belong everywhere, and to be accessible to everyone. That’s why we’ve started this initiative.

The idea is simple. Brink is looking to connect with as many small (and large) free wall-space venues in the Bay Area, and begin connecting artists  to them. The name of the program is simple too: Coffee shops are a prime example of who we look to. They’re high-traffic, local-visited, and friendly towards the arts.

BRINK COLLECTIVE

Welcome to BRINK.

We are an event planning and hosting group that exists to help emerging and local artists flourish through networking, exposure, and dialogue.

We are run by art students, out of our own pocket, as a cultural outreach collective. We are not a business or for-profit. Although we do not have a fund set up presently, we may utilize crowdsourcing for launching projects in the future–stay tuned. Donations are welcome and greatly appreciated in the meanwhile.

Events are free to the public, and open to all. As the venues we occupy will generally be small, there may be a wait when you arrive.

Check our EVENTS page to see what’s coming up. We hope to see you there!
